Coach commends organizers of Coal City Football League in Enugu
The Coach of Ngwo Neighbourhood FC of Enugu, Anistar Izuikem has commended the organisers of Coal City Football League competition (Boolu Ogbe) for given back to the society through the youths.
He gave the commendation in Enugu after the grand finale of the league competition between Ngwo team and its Obiagu counterpart.
Ngwo team defeated Obiagu by 2-1 tol emerge champions of the 2022 edition of the league.
“As for me, the organisers did not leave any loopholes as they gave out details of their activities on time.
“The officiating was supper, mode of communication was awaresome and they attracted sponsors who knows much about football.
“Coal City Football League has impacted much on the youths and their sponsor, betking investment in youths, is something to be proud of, ” he said.
The coach said it was long, “we see this kind of tournament in the state and that shows that Coal City league is growing from strength to strength.
“What gives me joy was, the rewards to exceptional players as such is the way to encourage them and the way forward for grassroots football development.”.
He praised his team for wining the league in spite of being the youngest team with the tag of “underdog” of the tournament.
“My team received the reward for their hard work because the players worked tirelessly from the begining .
“The way the players trained, respond to Instructions even when the weather is not favourable, the players still responded to training, ” he said.
According to him: “The most interesting thing about Ngwo team was that, they were the youngest team of the tournament and the youngest ever to participate in a competition of this height.
“The players are smart, energetic, and vibrant but the funniest part of the whole thing was, nobody expected the team to reach the final talk more of wining the league.”
Izuikem said the team’s wartchword remained, hardwork and discipline, adding that, he is overwhelmed to have been associated with the team.
