The Member Representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu, has given WAEC and School fees scholarships to over hundred indigent and brilliant students in 24 public schools in Enugu North and South Federal Constituency.
The cheques were presented to the SS3 students in the presence of their respective principals few minutes ago at PPSMB Enugu. Hon Atu said the scholarship was just a pilot study to have a baseline for the main scholarships which will cover over 1000 students in July this year.In his opening remark at the occasion the Executive Chairman of PPSMB Rev fr Mgbodile who hosted the event said he was very delighted when the Hon Chimaobi Sam ATU Education foundation came on board to give hope to the indigent students whose parents were in dilemma as how they can afford to pay for the Waec and school fees .
The Chief of Staff to Hon Chimaobi who represented the Chairman of the Education foundation thanked the Chairman of PPSMB Rev fr Mgbodile for keying into the vision while Dr Ekwe a legislative Aide to Hon Chimaobi Sam ATU assured the teachers and students that the financial rewards will be credited to their various accounts immediately after the event.
