
Anambra 7th Assembly has exemplified solidarity with its fallen hero, Ex Speaker of the 4th Assembly, Chief Anayo Nnebe, who died at the age of 61 after a brief illness at a Federal Government Hospital in Anambra on January 24.
The Speaker,Mr Somtochukwu Udeze,announced the demise of the former Speaker and Special Adviser to the Anambra Governor, Prof Charles Soludo on legislative matters.
It was a very sober day of reflection on the legislative floor of the 8th Assembly as the speaker announced the passage of Chief Nbebe.
Udeze called on the 30 lawmakers of the state to observe a minute slience for Rt. Hon. Anayo Nnebe, AKA (Icheledikeora Awka) for the repose of his soul.
The majority leader, Mr. Ikenna Ofodeme, moved a motion for the business of the day to be stepped down and pushed to another plenary session in honor of the late speaker and Special Adviser to Gov.Soludo.
The plenary session concluded with an adjournment to reconvene on Tuesd
