The Anambra State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Maku Olatunde A. on Friday felicitated with the NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Armed Abubakar Sudi, on his three years in office.
Expressing satisfaction with the achievements of the Commandant General within three years in office, the NSCDC state Commandant stated that the positive impact he (Commandant Gen.), made is immeasurable
His words, “I wish on behalf of the State Command, and my humble self, very senior officers and men of Anambra State Command , congratulate and felicitate with you, my very dear Commandant General of NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR on the auspicious occasion of your three years in office as the third substantive Commandant General and celebration of 2024 International Civil Defence Day.
“Your commitment to serving the Corps with humble, proactive, exceptional, compassionate, visionary, quintessential characteristics has not gone unnoticed, and the positive impact you have made on the Corps is immeasurable.
“You have demonstrated unwavering dedication, integrity and selflessness in upholding the law and ensuring the safety and well being of Nigerian Citizens. Your vision to transform, rejig, revamp, revive, reactivate, restructure and reposition the Corps to be in tandem with International best practices has turned the fortunes of the Corps.
“Your noble achievements through dint of hardwork, worthy of note; the introduction of Commandant General’s quarterly conference, establishment of Female Special Forces, FSF, Command and Staff College, Jos, Armed Training School, Udege, Development of Standard Curriculum for NSCDC Training Colleges, Constant Training and Retraining of Personnel.
“Others are, unprecedented massive promotion of officers and men, introduction of new/combats uniforms and adherence to dressings code, payment of personnel emolument, prompt payment of financial benefits to next of kins of deceased personnel, payment of wage award to sick, injured and demobilised operatives in line of duties, and clearing of arrears of promotion of many years.
“Also allocation of operational vehicles to NHQ,ZONAL and STATE Commands including yours truly and others too numerous to mention which is highly unprecedented, will continue to inspire and motivate us all. We are indeed very proud of you as our indefatigable Commandant General,”
“We can only wish you greater heights in your remaining years as the CG. May it bring you good health, happiness and fulfillment in all your endeavors.
“Once again, accept the hearty felicitations of NSCDC Anambra State and my humble personal regards. Thank you for your exemplary leadership to NSCDC and for being an exceptional role model to us all”, he stated.
