A young aspirant, Prince Ozioma Ani who wants to represent Enugu North and South at the House of Representatives, has vowed to unseat the PDP come 2019.
This was contained in a statement when declared his intent to represent his people in the green chamber on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP)
In his declaration speech, Prince Ani said his entry into the political arena is to contribute in changing the future of the nation “My new walk is literally for the future of a new Enugu and Indeed Nigeria, certainly not this one we currently live in”.
He lamented the current leader has fail the people , and believes that 2019 presents the people with such a pivotal window of opportunity to make changes. “A window to bend the arc of time and point out collective nationhood towards a brighter dispensation.
“I believe that those who have been speaking for us have not been speaking our minds, I believe that they have not been putting our best foot forward” he said.
“I believe that is time that we must must decide not to be on the fence any longer , a time to fold our sleeves and get involved”, he further said.
Ani charged all to stand up to be voted for or to vote for the kind of leaderships and representation that the next generation will be grateful for.
When asked how he intends to win the election and what are his chances, the Coordinator of Ozioma Mandate Group 2019 (OMG2019) Mr Samuel Ajufo said that they have devised strategies that will make them reach the unreached, disenfranchised and marginalized electorates.
He Said that these category of voters accounts for over 60 percent of the voters and they are sure of making them to come out to vote on the election day.
On winning the election, Prince Ani said emphatically that with what they have on ground, he is 80% sure of winning the election.
On the burning National issue of restructuring, Prince Ani responded by saying that “restructuring is the only way we can move forward”.
