ACHI PEOPLES ASSEMBLY ENDORSES DEPUTY GOVERNORSHIP AND HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS UNDER LABOUR PARTY.
A Labour Party Enugu State Chieftain Chief Emma OBI (Obatauluadunma)has expressed his Joy over the manner Achi Peoples Assembly, a think tank progressive Association that has as their core objective as a group that has the mandate to ensure that the interest of the twelve autonomous communities that make up Achi especially in the area of Politics in the State is adequately taken care of at all times yesterday endorsed their two illustrious Sons Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia and Hon Osita Eze as their adopted Candidates in the forth coming Gubernatorial and State Assembly election coming up this March 18th.
In a well attended event at the Palatial compound of Barrister Maxi Okwu, Ikenecheoha 2 who is the Convener of the APA a ranking member of the APA Dr Mcginger Ibeneme set the Ball rolling with his insight of why there was a special session for the endorsement, the Convener took over to State how Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia who is the Labour Party Enugu State Deputy Governorship Candidate has played major roles in issues relating to Achi in general and how the ruling Party for the Past twenty three years has Shortchanged the Achi people until the Labour Party Enugu State through the Governorship Candidate Barrister Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga decided to Choose Dr John Nwokeabia as his Deputy Governorship Candidate which is first time Achi will have this opportunity in the annals of Political history of the state.In the same vein the labour Party has already made Achi proud by the opportunity to have a member of Federal house of Representatives as elected during the February election.In the coming Election in a few days time the labour Party will also be presenting Hon Osita Eze for the State Assembly election. Barrister Maxi further said it was against this development that the endorsement of the illustrious Sons became a project that every Achi person needed to key into.
Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia who spoke on behalf of himself and Osita Eze thanked the Audience for their commitments towards the realization of this Political project and used the opportunity to inform the audience that he was very passionate about Achi and had in so many ways provided to many Achi projects and interests and Promised to do more if the labour Party wins at the election that will take place this March 18th in twenty eight States across the Country.
