Rev. T.Y. Emmanuel Urges Christians to Embrace Spiritual Intelligence, Trust in God’s Mercy Founding Senior Pastor of Doxa Family Church, Port Harcourt, Rev. T.Y. Emmanuel, has urged Christians to cultivate spiritual intelligence and avoid taking God’s grace for granted.He spoke on Sunday during a Survival Thanksgiving Service organised by friends, partners and family of Apostle Dr. Timiebi Kiyaramo at Kingdom Grace Mission Inc., Oxbow Lake, Yenagoa.The thanksgiving service celebrated Apostle Kiyaramo’s survival following a ghastly road accident on July 6, 2026.Rev. Emmanuel said believers must recognise that life is governed by natural, physical and spiritual laws, requiring wisdom rooted in God’s Word.Quoting Romans 9:15-18, he stressed that God’s mercy, not human strength or achievements, sustains life.”This life is nothing without God. It is by mercy that we stand, lest anyone should boast. As we grow older, we draw closer to eternity,” he said.He urged Christians to remain grateful, discerning and conscious that every blessing comes through God’s grace.Sharing his testimony, Apostle Kiyaramo recalled the accident along Glory Drive while travelling to Ogboloma Community in Gbaran Clan, Yenagoa Local Government Area.He said his vehicle lost control in light rain while travelling at about 80 kilometres per hour before he cried, “Jesus is Lord,” and lost consciousness.The cleric said he later regained consciousness with only minor bruises, describing his survival as a clear manifestation of divine mercy.Kiyaramo identified four signs of divine intervention: the absence of witnesses, spiritual contention over his life, no oncoming vehicles and escape without broken bones or internal injuries.He thanked God for preserving his life and reaffirmed his commitment to preaching the Gospel.”From the day I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ in September 1983, I understood my purpose: to preach Jesus Christ to everyone I meet,” he said.He encouraged Christians not to surrender to life’s challenges but to trust God, citing Psalm 27:13 as assurance of divine faithfulness.Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South South Development Commission, Senator Konbowei Friday Benson, represented by Mr. Otonye Tam Tuwei, urged believers to maintain a lifestyle of thanksgiving.Kiyaramo also encouraged Christians to obey God’s Word wholeheartedly and remain unashamed of the Gospel.He warned that compromising biblical truth with error weakens faith and urged believers to trust God completely, referencing Proverbs 3:5-6.In his closing remarks, Rev. Emmanuel reminded the congregation that life depends on God’s mercy and challenged Christians to let spiritual intelligence shape their decisions and devotion.The service featured praise, worship and prayers of thanksgiving for God’s preservation and faithfulness.
