Marking his birthday today, the peoples choice for Awka South State House of Assembly, finds it worthy to celebrate this auspicious day in his life at a Motherless Babies Home.
Visiting Model Community Children’s Home/Day Care Centre at Real Estate, Awka, with his wonderful family and members of #TeamVIE, Hon. Emeka Igwe said this kind gestures is another little way for him to reach out to the less privileged and put a lasting smile on their faces.
“My family and i are here to celebrate with these children because they have nobody to care for them. They are humans like us who lack love from others and that is why we are here to celebrate with them so as to give them a sense of belonging”.
The philanthropist continued, “the worst thing that can happen to anybody is to live in isolation. Living a life with no one to care for you is not easy. I am extremely happy today to put smiles on the faces of these children. With these, i feel a sense of fulfillment.”
He presented the children with lot of gift items, cut cake and dance with songs of praise to God for his grace and favours.
Responding on behalf of the children, the Proprietor of Centre and the staff who was visiblly elated by the goodwill of the group, thanked Emeka Igwe for celebrating his birthday with them, praying that God would replenish him a hundred fold.
