The Member Representing Enugu North/South Federal Constituency, Hon Chimaohi Atu last at Ugwuaji in Enugu South local government area of Enugu State hosted Members of his Constituency, Labour Party faithful, associates, friends and well wishers to a well attended and colorful reception to thank God for his electoral victory during the just concluded elections in Nigeria.
It would be recalled that against all expectations, Hon Atu of the labour Party that, was taunted as a Party without any structure, won the Federal House of Representatives election thereby creating a major upset in the annals of elections in Enugu State as his major opponent in the election was a third term member of the House of Representatives who was expected to win the election with a wide margin but was defeated by the relative humble, focused and steadfast gentle giant in the person of Hon Chimaobi Sam Atu.
It is believed that his antecedent and the manifesto he presented to the People of Enugu North and South Federal Constituency won him over his opponents at the February polls.
The event attracted who is who in the labour Party Enugu State and beyond. His Excellency Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia the Deputy Governorship Candidate of labour Party Enugu State led a high profile dignitaries to the event which included, Prof. Barth Nnaji (Onwa Global) former Minister Of Power and Managing Director Geometrics Power, Hon Chijioke Okereke, Hon. CHIDI Obetta, Barrister Cyriacus Sunday Umeha, Prof. Paul Nnamchi, Hon Raymond Okechukwu, Hon Osita Okoh, Hon Osita Eze, Barrister Emeka Ugwu and a host of other dignitaries witnessed the event.
The occasion caused major traffic Congestion as a result of hundreds of people who attended the event as this was the first time such victory at an election in Enugu State happened and in this particular area of Enugu South.
There was so much entertainment at the well coordinated event which was personally supervised by the host himself who gave a hint that his representation will be different from what it used to be as he has shown it will be servant leadership that will bring him closer to his Constituents.
