My victory, divine, says Hon Eze Enugu assembly member elect
The winner of last Saturday’s rerun election for Oji River State Constituency in Enugu State, Hon Osita Eze of Labour Party has described his victory as a divine mandate and a new dawn for the People of Oji River Local Government Area.
In his post election speech at his Achi residence, he thanked the LP for the opportunity given to him to serve the people of Oji River LGA for trusting him and giving him the mandate to represent zhem.
“I must first and foremost thank the Almighty and the people my constituency for the confidence reposed in me.
“My humble request to the people of Oji River is join hands with me to revitalize the master Plan of Oji River urban as envisaged by the early leaders,” he said.
On his feelings after getting close to being declared the winner during the election day on march 18th only for the INEC to declare the election inconclusive, Osita noted that he felt very disturbed as he was leading his opponent with over nine hundred votes.
“But I thank God and the people of Oji River for their commitment to a new Leadership that will change the narrative and bring the kind of dividend of democracy that OBIDIENTs will bring on board to take the country to it’s desired destination, ” Eze said.
In the same vein the Director General of his campaign organization, Mr T J Oyekezie thanked the Labour Party Faithful in Oji River who trouped out to give support that led to the eventual victory.
He assured that the time for effective representation of has arrived with the election of Hon Osita Eze, adding that he has all it takes to bring about the kind of legislative duties that will deliver a new change and improve the welfare of the people of Oji River LGA Constituency.
