Bournemouth have parted company with head coach Scott Parker following the Cherries’ 9-0 defeat to Liverpool. He is also the first player to be shown the exit door.
A statement released by the club reads:
“AFC Bournemouth can announce that the club has parted ways with head coach Scott Parker.”
“Maxim Demin, co-owner of the club added, “I would want to officially express my appreciation to Scott and his crew for their work while they were here. The final campaign of his career will always be regarded as one of our most successful campaigns in history thanks to our promotion back to the Premier League.

“However, it is essential that we are in agreement on our plan to manage the club sustainably if we are to continue improving as a team and a Club as a whole. We also need to respect and believe in one another. We won’t deviate from the strategy that has helped this team achieve such great success in previous years. We’ll start looking for a new head coach right away.
“Gary O’Neil will serve as the team’s temporary manager, with Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick by his side.”
Parker joined Bournemouth on the same day he left Fulham in June of last year.
