
A non governmental organisation, Royal Ambassadors Family Enlightenment Foundation (RAFEF) has rained gifts on female students of Model Secondary School Abayi, Umuocham Osisioma Ngwa, Aba in Abia.
The foundation blessed the students with gifts at the event.
The foundation also promised to pay West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees for two students.
The two beneficiaries are Miss Jacinta Okafor, for Senior WAEC while Miss Blessing Okechineke benefited for Junior WAEC and other students were blessed with different gifts.
In her opening remarks, Amb. Nwakaego Uwadi said the foundation purpose of visiting the school was to sensitise the female students on the important of hygiene.
She called on them to listen carefully so tht they can learn what will guide the for life time and to benefit from thier God precious gift.
The Director General of the foundation, Amb. Jonathan Okwudiri in his key note address advised the students to always put God first in all they do.
“Always go for God plan and purpose in your life and not making choice base on human interest or the popular choice.
“Watch the company you keep because, you cannot keep ungodly friends and expect to have godly result,”he advised he students.
The state coordinator Mrs Nkechi Joshua who moderated the event advised the students to stand up and be counted.
She warned them of the dangers of pre-marital sex and unwanted pregnancy to their education and mode of life.
Amb. Jimimah Agbo who delivered a lecture on the topic,” My Period, My Pride, which centered on health urged the students to be proud of their womanhood.
She described Period (Mentruation) as a natural biological process that occurs to individual that has a uterus and a vital of human life for potential pregnancy.
Agbo warned the students who to always stay awarded from having genital contact with their male counterpart to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
“As for hygiene aspect, always use sanitary pad and due away with piece of cloths or tissues because they are not healthy to your sensitive organs.
“Your period is your pride as a woman so do not allow anybody to intimidate you or stigmatise you because of it,”she said.
In her Vote of thanks, Miss Esther Christian, a JSS 1 student that benefited from the foundation thanked the foundation for their gestures to them.
She promised that she will put whatever she learnt to work, posses a positive mentality to so that her family, society and national at large will be proud of her.
“My advice to my fellow female student is to always avail themselves this kind of opportunity so that their lives can change for good,”she said.
Meanwhile, Miss Christian was giving N 5000 while Miss Dim Chidinma, Miss Chidiadi Chinwendu, Miss Uzoma Kelechi, Miss Chetachi Daniel and Debora Basset where giving N3000 each.
All the students were giving sanitation pads to encourage them to use it for their health.
