The Speaker House of Representatives RT. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas PhD. has declared open the one day public hearing of the committee on local content development and monitoring at the National Assembly. The Speaker who was ably represented by the deputy minority whip Hon. George Ozodinobi said the stakeholder contributions will defines the importance of the two bills and will drive the economic growth of the country.He explained that non oil and gas sector development is very critical for the development of the country ,adding that the two bills sector open a new chapter for economic growth and development and futher enhance the growth in the manufacturing sector.In her remarks the chairman committee on local content development and monitoring , Hon Boma Goodhead a member representing the good and hardworking people of Akuku-Toru/Asari-Toru federal Constituency of River State, said the two Bills was refered to the committee at the floor of the House and is very crucial in the legislative processes.The Lawmaker further explained that the contributions of all stakeholders is a step in the right direction in the legislative processes.She explained that public hearing is aimed at promoting local content development in the non–oil and gas sector.Rt,Hon Goodhead also said that all inputs by stakeholders will help in shaping legislation and promotes local content as well as drive economic growth in the country.She added that the inclusive approach is in line with the 10th House of Representatives commitment to transparency and accountability Hon,Boma further said that the public hearing will present opportunities for stakeholders to provide valuable insights and recommendations that will shape the future of local content development in the Nigerian sector she added
