As the count down to the primaries for the local government election in Enugu State draws near a dark horse in the person of Ugwu Christian Ogbozor (Chief OMERUOHA) has thrown his hat into the ring for the Chairmanship Position in UDI local government area in the forth coming election in February 2024 under labour Party.
Chief OMERUOHA who hails from Umulungbe in UDI North in an exclusive interview with first News online noted that he is in the race to change the leadership narratives in UDI local government administration.
The situation in Nigeria today required experienced administrators from the local government level to the federal in other to bring about any meaningful development in the country.
If given the mandate the first Acton will be in the area of bringing in the enabling environment in such areas as infrastructural development and security in other to empower the youths.
Kinetic approach to security will deal with eradicating of those preventing the Youths from their farmlands and after tackle the internal security by creating a looting department that will deal with looters of the gardens and barns, with this kind of drive the state will be free from distractions occasioned by these various forces.
Agriculture and allied industries will come on board and there will be food security and economic development of the local government area.
Omeruoha noted that another area he will look at is the area of discipline of workers and end this present idea where workers come to work and close at their own time.
In all Chief OMERUOHA believes that with these executive summary of his administration definitely Udi local government will be a reference point in local government administration in Enugu State and Nigeria in general.
