The Judgement of the Governorship election Tribunal Sitting in Enugu that dismissed the Petition of Labour Party Candidate in the March Election Barrister Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga against the Present Governor Dr Peter MBAH have been described as Bizzare by Hon Hon Aganigbo CHIDOZIE a Labour Party Chieftain from Awgu Local government area of Enugu State.
Aganigbo Wondered how the tribunal refused to take note of the provisions of sections 134 of the electoral act and 182 of the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
He further Stated that if the NYSC was not a requirement as postulated by the tribunal why was it Submitted by the respondent in the first place.
Hon Aganigbo urged the labour Party faithful in Enugu State not loose hope as the leadership of the party has announced that they will Appeal the judgement that has brought about the Voters in Enugu State wondering why those they Voted out are trying to Come back through this kind of Judicial pronouncements that are not in tandem with their resolve to give chance to a new set of Candidates that has Shown that they are going to change the way things have been in past twenty four years of Democratic dispensation in the country.
Enugu State today is a Labour Party State looking at the number of candidates elected during the march general election that is a clear departure from the usual assemblage of Cronies of the ruling Party leadership as the winner’s of any election in the State Hon Aganigbo concluded.
