LABOUR PARTY FAITHFUL URGED TO BE CALM AND VIGILANT.
As the waiting game for the announcement of the Winner of the governorship election last Saturday in Enugu State continues to dominate discussions in the State, labour Party faithfuls in the State have been urged to be calm and vigilant to ensure that the mandate that was given the Party is recovered from the impostors.
The advice was given by the Spokesperson for Chijioke Edeoga and Nwokeabia Campaign council Engr George Ugwu when he arrived at the INEC headquarters Enugu where since Monday morning Labour Party Faithful have been keeping vigil for the INEC to do the needful and announce Barrister Chijioke Edeoga as the winner of the Governorship election held on Saturday.
Ugwu noted that it was inconceivable that while accredited Voters were about seven thousand but the vote cast was about thirty thousand Plus and this is obvious that it was over voting and the new electoral law have a Solution for this kind of situation.
The Spokesperson further said that the result of the National Assembly election and the State Assembly election clearly shows that Voters in Enugu State has had enough of the twenty four years of the leadership of PDP with little to show and decided to elect Six out of Seven hour of representatives and two Senators out of three and the third is being contested in court.
He advise the out going leadership to accept the defeat with maturity and calmness.
For INEC George called on the organization to quickly get this work done as all eyes are on them to do the needful by anouncing the election result which was clearly won by labour considering all the facts available he concluded.
