The people’s Democratic Party (PDP) has prayed a Federal high Court, Abuja to dismis a suit field by the executive govonor Of Rivers state NYESOM WIKE against it and others.
The PDP in a counter affidavit dated and filed on Feb 10 on behalf of the party’s executive members listed in the suit before justice James Omotosho. He said contrary to Wike’s deposition none of the respondents threatened to deal with the govonor.
Meanwhile the news agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Wike in a motion Makerd FHC/ABJ/CS/139/2023 had sued the PDP, it national working committee (NWC) and it national executive committee (NEC).

But the PDP in the counter affidavit deposed to by Nanchang Ndam who is a staff of in the legal department of the party at the party national Secretariat averred that all Wike’s deposition were untrue.
The contray to the deposition in paragraph 3 (ii),(iii) and (iv) of the affidavit in support of the motion, I know that none of respondents threatened to deal with applicants (WIKE) and also none of the respondents threatened to expel or suspend the application from the 1st respondents (PDP) he said.
He also said that there was no threat to govonor Wike’s right of freedom of association by any of the respondents contrary to his insinuation.
Upon resumed hearing, govonor Wike’s counsel Joshua Musa SAN informed the court that he has received a notice of preliminary objections counter affidavit to their motion on notice.
we were served with all this in the wee working hours of 10th Feb. And however they agreed to come back on March 6 subject to the convenience of the court.
The Judge who said that all application filed would be taken on the next adjourned date. Extended the interim oder made on Feb 2 raiterating both parties to matiain status quo pending the hearing and determination of substancitve matter.
