Abuja, Dec. 25, 2022 (NAN) Igoche Mark, the Initiator and founder of Mark ‘D’ Basketball Championship, has felicitated Christian faithfuls on the occasion of the 2022 Christmas celebration.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, Mark said the gift of love, peace and happiness filled with joy are his wishes for Nigerians, especially those in the basketball family.
“The gift of love, peace and happiness filled with joy; may all these be yours at Christmas. May your Christmas sparkle with moments of love, laughter and goodwill,” the statement said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mark’s “New Face of Basketball” movement had indeed helped resurrect the hitherto moribund state of domestic basketball and raised the bar of the slam and dunk game in the country.
The Mark ‘D’ Ball brand and its affiliations which are not new to the basketball family have continued to contribute to the sustainable development of basketball at the grassroots.
This it has continued to do in its bid to see that the game is put back on the map and to ensure that all critical stakeholders are involved in the developmental process.
Mark promised that as the yuletide season gradually ushers in the beginning of a new year, the “new face of basketball” would begin to roll out its programmes for 2023 as it continues on the path to sustainable development of the game at the grassroots.
“We have a lot of interesting and developmental programmes lined up for the year 2023 and are focused on ensuring that we deliver on our promises in spite of all the distractions here and there.
“We shall therefore not be deterred in our bid to ensuring that our players as well as all other important stakeholders in the game are adequately carried along.
