Our Emergence, A Divine Providence.
The Labour Party candidate for Enugu East Rural Constituency, Hon, Raymond Okechukwu Ugwu has described his emergence and some other Candidates in the forthcoming election as divine providence.
Ugwu, who is one of the youngest candidates in the forthcoming election said this when he addressed the Labour Party faithful at Mbulu, during a campaign rally attended by chieftains of Labour Party in Enugu East Senatorial Zone.
The Governorship candidate in the state, His Excellency, Barrister Chijioke Edeoga and his deputy, Dr John Nwokeabia were present at the rally.
Other Labour Party bigwigs in attendance include, Enugu East Senatorial Candidate Barrister Oyibo Chukwu; Prof. Paul Nnamchi, the Labour Party candidate for Isi Uzo and Enugu East Federal Constitueny
The State Party Chairman, Barrister Casmir Agbo, State Woman leader, Secretary of labour Party Enugu State Barrister Akachukwu, Director General of Edeoga Nwokeabia campaign organisation, Amb Fidel Ayogu, spokesman for the Campaign organisation, Engr George Ugwu and a host of other dignitaries were also in attendance.
Biblically, he drew the attention of the audience to what happened at the house of Jesse when a new king was to be enthroned, that all the sons of Jesse could not meet the criteria for the New king until David the youngest who was tending the sheep was brought back and the mantle of leadership fell on him.
He also spoke on issues of marginalisation by the powers that be in Enugu local government area until after much pressure the immediate past Chairman 0f the local government, Hon Alex ugwu became the first man to be given the opportunity from the zone.
Ugwu advised the audience to continue to support the Governorship candidate of LP, Barr. Chijioke Edeoga, saying that, he has the same pedigree with the Man of the moment in Nigeria political history in the person of Peter Obi.
” Who is poised to change the narrative in Nigeria and move the country from consumption to Production that will get the country out of the Present economic quagmire, ‘ he said.
