Abuja, July 25, 2022 (NAN) Dr. Festus Daniel, the President, National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria (NISCN) has congratulated the new boss of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Dauda Biu.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of Mr Dauda Biu, as the Acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), following the retirement of Mr Boboye Oyeyemi.
Biu’s appointment took effect from July 24 following the former Corps Marshal, FRSC, Oyeyemi’s retirement from service on Sunday.
A statement by the NISCN President and made available to NAN on Monday appreciated Oyeyemi for the good job did while in office and wished the new boss a successful tenure as he assumes office.
Daniel said that the former Corps Marshal laid a good foundation for the corps and urged the acting corps marshal to continue from where he stopped.
The NISCN helmsman also urged the new FRSC boss to sustain the tempo and justify his appointment by ensuring that the issue of safety of lives and properties was top priority in his agenda.
“The NISCN wish to congratulate you on your new appointment and urge you to take the issue of safety of lives more seriously than ever before.
“As a partner in progress, we want to assure you that we are available and open to seeking and exploring ways of assisting you in the area of safety advocacy.
“Indeed, the safety of lives and properties on our highways is very critical and therefore cannot be overemphasized as well as the safety of your workforce which is of utmost importance and pivotal to what we do.
“We at NISCN are hopeful and believe strongly that our partnership will yield positive results and help the FRSC to gain more strides in its safety mission of Nigerian lives and properties,” he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
