Edeoga replaces Agbo as Labour Party Governorship candidate for Enugu 2023
Chijioke Edeoga, the immediate past commissioner for Environment in Enugu State has replaced Mr Casmir Agbo as the labour Governorship Candidate in the state for the 2023 general election
He emerged on Saturday after an enlarged meeting of the State chapter of the party in Enugu. .
The State Chairman of the party Agbo confirmed this in a telephone interview in Enugu.
“I can tell you authoritatively that Edeoga is now our candidate. He will now fly our flag for the 2023 Governorship election the state, ” he said.
Edeoga, who lost the PDP governorship primary was the immediate past commissioner, who resigned to contest thePDP primary election on June 9.
He polled nine votes to come second behind the winner, Mr Peter Mba who polled over 700 votes.
It would be recalled that, Agbo was earlier elected at a primary held in Enugu and then doubled as State chairman.
