The Site Manager of SANA Group Limited, Engr. Yaser Alshamah has assured sports lovers in Enugu State that the company will complete its roofing work at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium before the commencement of the National Sports Festival tagged _“2026 COAL CITY GAMES. “
Alshamah gave the assurance in an interview with newsmen at the stadium, adding that the company was committed to delivering on schedule.
“We have 3 months to complete the roofing of the stadium. We have no choice. Our scope is to roof some sections of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
“We have a work programme and schedule, by the grace of God, Insha Allah, and with the support of everyone, we will complete the aluminum sheet roofing on time, ” he said.
On the stadium’s design, the site manager explained the need for the circular structure.
“It is necessary for the stadium to be round. If it is not round, something is wrong. The front has to be round, ” he said.
In the same vein, the Site Agent, Engr. Emezie Ikeanyionwu, said the company was currently laying the foundation columns that would support the canopy for the umbrella roofing of the stadium.
“We are working according to the timeframe and schedule. These are the reinforced foundation layouts that will carry the canopy of the stadium,” he said.
The 2026 COAL CITY GAMES, slated for November 11 through December 10, will feature athletes from across the country.
