HON. FORTUNE UCHENNA OGBONNA
The Candidate for NDC Enugu State House of Assembly Awgu North Constituency in the forth coming general Election Hon Fortune UCHENNA Ogbonna yesterday hosted the Elders, Stake holders, Women and the Youths from the Nine villages that make up OGUGU town in Awgu local government area of Enugu State.
In the famous Nkwo Market Square at Ogugu a capacity Crowd was on ground to answer to the invitation of their great Son that have as a private person empowered so many youths , women and men.
In his opening address Hon Fortune told the Crowd that he invited them to the Nkwo market square to inform them that he holds the ticket to represent ten towns that make up Awgu North State Constituency.
As their son he had first to inform them before going to the other towns to also present his Candidacy to them to represent the Constituency under NDC in the forth coming election in 2027.
Many Stakeholders who were in the event took turns to address the audience, Hon Donatus Anioke a former Councillor noted that Ogugu are Solidly behind him due to his antecedents before now and there and then asked the Crowd to raise their hands up if they have Voters Card and for those who don’t have he told them that the registration is ongoing and should as a matter of urgency go to INEC office at Awgu to register.
The President General who was also present at the occasion said the same that the people should try and ensure they obtain their voters card now that there is a window of opportunity to do so.
The onowu who represented the Royal father in the same vein reiterated on the need for the people to be prepared to to vote for the candidate that will represent them well.
From the party angle some notable Party officials such as Aganigbo Chiedozie noted that the presence of the party officials was to encourage those present to go back home and inform others that they have a great Son that will not disappoint them if voted for in the coming election.
Ohanta Cletus an NDC Awgu South Party stalwart said if they had their way they would have loved to exchange Hon Fortune to come and represent them because of his capacity to a thunderous applause that brought the event to a close with entertainment the next thing that took the center stage.But from all indication Hon Fortune is a great Son of Ogugu in whom they are well please with.
