The art of giving and sharing of goodwill, captured in the Igbo saying that “nma nma n’ezu ora”- which literally means goodwill traverses the community – may have found good expression in the way Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, Osodieme, has transverse the 21 Local Government Areas.
Her familiarisation tour, which has generated far reaching encomium, culminated at Awka South LGA today.
Chief among those who received Her Excellency was the respected and revered front line aspirant for Anambra State House of Assembly race, to represent Awka South 1, Hon Emeka Igwe, a philanthropist who is also committed to affecting lives.
Hon. Emeka Igwe, Nnayelugo, noted that Her Excellency’s benevolence and magmanality have been her second nature long before her husband, Chief Wille Obiano, became the governor.
Osodieme’s CAFE, according to Igwe has brought strategic interventions in the lives of vulnerable members of the society like indigent widows, women, youth, children, as well as the mentally and the physically challenged.
“Osodieme is the Mother Theresa of Nigeria. She has demonstrated a high sense of purpose for humanity and we are happy that ndi Awka South are beneficiaries of goodness”, he said.
Osodieme whose commitment to uplifting the fortunes of women at all levels is well known across the state, urge everyone to be the supportive of the government.
She nevertheless thanked ndi Awka South and indeed ndi Anambra for their strong support for the governor during the governorship election that returned him. She said without them, history wouldn’t have been made because they were the reason behind the 21/21 historic victory.
Hon. Igwe expressed his willingly to support the Governor Obiano, making laws that will improve the lot of ndi Awka South A Constituency, should he get the mandate of the of his people.
