The body of the father-in-law of the Zonal Secretary, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) South South Zone and Chairman, Bayelsa State Caretaker Committee, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, Late Pastor Bibo David Angaye, will be laid to rest on Friday, December 12, 2025, at his hometown, Okoloba, Bayelsa State
In a detailed program of events released by the Orokuro family, the funeral activities will commence with a Service of Songs organised by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) on Thursday 11th December 2025 by 4pm at the Grace Dynasty Ministries, KM16, Isaac Boro Expressway, Opolo, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. On Friday 12th December 2025, the mortal remains of the deceased servant of God will depart from the FMC Yenagoa mortuary in a motorcade at 9:00 AM, destined for his hometown of Okoloba in Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA, Bayelsa State. Upon arrival, the body will be received at the Olodani Compound by chiefs, elders, and members of the Orokuro family for a brief lying in state at their ancestral home.
Following this, the procession will depart from the Olodani Compound to the CPS School Field 1 in Sabagreia for an open-air service, which will be conducted by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Bayelsa State Chapter. After the service, the body will proceed to its final resting place for a private interment.
Meanwhile, outpouring of heartfelt condolences have continued to trail the transition of the revered cleric, who was called to glory on September 29, 2025, at the age of 65.
In a touching condolence message, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, H.E. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, described Pastor Angaye as “a devoted man of God whose life reflected compassion, selflessness, generosity, and a deep commitment to the service of humanity.” He prayed for God to grant the departed eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the loss.
Similarly, the National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu, paid glowing tribute to the late Pastor Angaye, noting that his life was “rooted in faith, purpose, and quiet strength.” He emphasized that Pastor Angaye’s legacy of humility, integrity, and service remains an enduring testimony to a life well lived.
On his part, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Samuel Ogbuku, Ph.D encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that “while alive, Pastor Angaye devoted his lifetime to the service of God and humanity, leaving behind memorable legacies.” On behalf of his family and the Management of the NDDC, he prayed that the Almighty God comfort
the entire family and give them all the fortitude to bear this
irreparable loss.
