Women traffic police officers in Lebanon has received new uniform — mini shorts and red berets —  under the mayor’s plan to improve tourism in the country.
In Broummana, Lebanon has young women as traffic police officers for the summer has started dressing up as per the controversial dress code. While the male colleagues still wearing trousers.
The issue has caused a stir in the press and on social media as people termed the decision sexist because male colleagues still wearing full trousers.
People are also complaining about the choice of the uniform making police women wear sexy outfits just to attract tourists.
However, the women police officers welcomed the decision and accepted with enthusiasm.
Media reports quoted her saying, that they hope the decision comes back every summer.
