DSP Kyrian Igwe has said that every new rank comes with added responsibility, and the charge to work harder.
Igwe, who was recently promoted from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said this during the celebration of his new rank.
Speaking to newsmen on his new rank, he said it was a milestone in his life and carrier, adding that he was happy to move to the rank of DSP.
Igwe, who is the OC sports at the Enugu State Police Command and the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, said the new rank would spur him to further give his best for the force and Nigeria at large.
“I see it that, to whom much is given, much is expected.
“This new rank will spur me to give my best to the police force and to Nigeria
“I will do my best to make those who recommended me proud and not to let them feel otherwise.
“I will hold this rank tight and rededicate myself to the service of the nation, ” he said.
Igwe thanked God for giving him the strength and the enablement to be alive “today to witness this milestone in my life. ‘
“And also appreciate the chairman of PSC for approving this promotion; also the IGP and the State Commissioner of Police, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, who recommended us for this elevation.
“I also want to specially thank all sports men and women in the Enugu State Police Command, for their show of love to me and for putting together this celebration today, ” he said.
He urged those still waiting for their promotions to continue praying, saying that, promotion comes from God.
