Coach Ibe Nwogwugwu of City Stars Football Club of Aba said the club is battle ready for the 2023/2024 Nationwide League one( NLO) seaaon begining on Saturday.

The club will play all it’s matches at the Ginger Sam Stadium located at Ntigha in Isialangwa North Local Government Area, Abia,
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Nwogwugwu said the club recruited good players to ensure that the club will do well in the NLO, sponsored by New year Lottery
He said “this is a new team and we have assembled some good and great players that will make us proud so the players are good to go for the season.
“The team spirit is high, football does not respect anybody no matter how long a club has stayed, the players are not going to look at anybody’s face.
“We are going to showcase what we have in the competition and certainly we will go far,” he sai
City stars was drawn to play in Umuahia cetre and will trade tackles with Ave FC by 4:00pm at the Ginger Sam stadium on Saturday 20 April.
