
Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports , has assured newly posted National Youth Service Corps Members to Enugu State, of the commitment of Enugu State government to their welfare.
Speaking during the Swearing – in- Ceremony of Batch “A’ Stream 1, Corps Members on Tuesday 20 th February, 2024, at NYSC Orientation Camp, Awgu, Commissioner Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu, noted, that the State government places priority to their welfare, he pointed out, that Orientation Camp programmes were designed to prepare them for the service year.
He enjoined Corps Members not to engage in any act that will tarnish the image of their families, alma- mater and to always obey camp rules and officials , adding that camp life is regimented and devoid of the comfort they enjoy in their homes.
Present on the occasion include, Governor Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government Professor Chidiebere Onyia, the Chief Justice of the State Hon. Justice RA Ozoemena, who was represented by Justice OO Onovo, the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu, Chairman Awgu local government represented by Hon John Nwafor SPA on Special Duties. as well as, NYSC State Coordinator Mrs Solomon CN, CSC Nnaji Nwobum Commander NSCDC, Mr Umekwe Boniface,, representative of the NDLEA State Commander, Garrison Commander 82 Division, represented by C . O Admin Major O .A. Teslem among others.
