All roads lead to the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu yesterday Sunday where the Labour Party Faithful from UDI/Ezeagu assembled in their hundreds to give a befitting welcome to Hon Barrister Cyriacus Sunday Umeha
the Member Representing UDI/Ezeagu federal Constituency.
He was coming back to Enugu Since the fourth of November after the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos upturned an earlier Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Enugu Ruling that Dr Festus Uzor of the PDP won the election.
The atmosphere at the airport was electrifying with different groups entertaining the audience for hours as the closure of Abuja Airport yesterday due to the crash landing of Aero Contractors Plane delayed the arrival of Hon Umeha and his entourage.
On his arrival eventually at about seven pm the arrival part of the Airport erupted with Shouts of joy as the entertainers were trying to outdo each other in singing praises to the man fondly called Ezeabata.
It took security men at the airport minutes before they could usher him into his waiting Vehicle that took him to his house in Enugu.
In an exclusive interview with first News online Hon Cyriacus explained the reason for the joyful noise from his Constituency Members who followed him back to house was that the almighty God answered their prayers.
He further noted that the Petition Tribunal sitting in Enugu had annulled his election and even asked the INEC to issue a certificate of return to Dr Festus Uzor of PDP.The Appeal Court sitting in Lagos in their Judgement ruled that he was the rightful winner of the election.
Hon Cyriacus urged his Constituency to be patient as he intends to uplift the infrastructural fortune of UDI/ Ezeagu and Enugu State in general and take his Legislative strides to a new level.
